Using honey to treat acne?

I’m 21 and am hav­ing one of the worst break­outs in my life. I have both the lit­tle zit type acne, and a cou­ple of cys­tic acne bumps. sounds dis­gust­ing, it is. I read some­thing about using honey to treat acne, I was won­der­ing if you are sup­posed to use reg­u­lar store bought honey, or if there was a spe­cial type of “organic” honey out there.

I used to have really bad Acne from the age of like 13, all the way till about 11 months ago (Im 17 now btw, 18 now month). I tried every­thing.…. Creams.…… Tablets.…. face washes, Nat­ural prod­ucts.. EVERYTHING… they just don’t work at all…

So I heard about this treat­ment, It’s called Roac­cu­tane (Also known as accu­tane), I started on that when I was 15, and fin­ished within about about 6-10months of treat­ment. Basi­cally it’s a tablet which you will have to take every night at reg­u­lar times for the whole period of time, The Dos­sage of the tablet depends on the weight of you… But I would cer­tainly rec­comend going your GP or doc­tors and ask them to refer you over to a der­ma­tol­o­gist unit at a local hos­pi­tal, and they will more than likely sug­gest it to you there any­ways. It’s actu­ally really good. At first, the acne may flare out more, but this is get­ting them all out your sys­tem, then it will grad­u­ally get bet­ter over­time. Just search up about it on google, and also on Youtube, peo­ple have like posted video blogs about each week of treat­ment on it.. It’s a very “Con­trolled” treat­ment though I must say.. No drink­ing alco­hol in that period of time, Reg­u­lar monthly blood checks to check cole­strol lev­els etc etc… And theres side effects too… Dry lips.. nose bleeds on the odd occa­sions… dry skin… dry eyes, other dry areas.. :L But you can be pre­scribed with things to sort those prob­lems out, and they only last until you have fin­ished the treatment.

Trust me it is well worth it, my Acne used to be so bad, and now I have no spots on my face at all. Any­ways hope this helps and best of luck to you

mmm so i have a 2mm scar on my nose which has being there for about 2 years now. Recently i was talk­ing to my friends and they men­tioned that laser treat­ment may do the trick.

laser treat­ment would be WAY too much and a scar that small isn’t that awful and worth that much money..

I would say go to the phar­macy and ask for a scar fad­ing cream. There are a TON out there so just look and see what you think will work and try one. They also have freckle faders and acne scar fad­ing.. which is the same thing.

I have heard very good things about these and assume the work pretty well but have not tried it myself… although I do use coco but­ter and melt it and put it on scars, stretch­marks, etc. and that works well. maybe not as fast but it will make a dif­fer­ence & its def a more nat­ural approach!
