for acne spot treatment was discovered by medical researcher’s in the 1970’s.  They learned that light focused in a particular wavelength kills p. acnes bacterium, which is the most common cause of acne in teens and adults.  When it’s exposed to this intensity of light, the bacteria can’t survive more than a few minutes.  It will die causing pimples, pustules and cysts to shrivel up and go away.  Using for acne consistently also helps reduce the amount of oil and sebum on your skin, and with some, shrinks the pore size.

Shop TrophySkin.com Today! Dermatologists have been using the Blue Light acne treatment for over 20 years to reduce and eliminate the  causes of acne breakouts.  This technology is now FDA Approved, and in many studies conducted by the American Academy of Dermatology and British Academy of Dermatology, has been proven effective.

Blue light acne treatment is for mild to moderate acne.  The Blue Light treatment for acne is a that kills the P acne bacteria in your skin.  Studies show that the blue light acne treatment treats active lesions as well as inactive sebacious glands. Blue spot treatment is gentle and doesn’t damage the surrounding tissue.

To receive this treatment at a spa or clinic, it can take several trips and is very expensive.  It can also be temporary, so having the ability of using blue light treatment for acne as an at home acne treatment is very beneficial.  It’s much less expensive, you don’t have to go anywhere, and you can use it when you want to as consistently as you want to.

The company indicates that this at home acne treatment emits the specific type and amount of light needed to kill the acne causing bacteria, and that they can prove it.  The benefits, studies and backing include:

  • Proven effective by the American Academy of Dermatology
  • Dermatologist grade device
  • Average user needs 20 minutes 3 times a week

Getting Rid of Blackheads: How to Get Rid of Blackheads and Home Remedies for Blackheads

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

how to get rid of blackheadsBlackhead removal is one of the most difficult parts of getting and maintaining healthy skin, but there are some helpful tips in getting rid of blackheads and preventing them.  Blackheads are “open comedones” with oily skin, while whiteheads can be with dry or oily skin.  They’re caused by oil and dead skin cells that clog the pore.  The color is from the oxygen in the air causing the black color, or oxidization.

The best thing to do in getting rid of blackheads is by softening them before removal.  They can be hard to remove and squeezing them can damage the skin and cause scarring.  You need to make sure your skin is Clean.  There are different tools and , and I’ll review some tools and home remedies, and how to get rid of blackheads.

How to Get Rid of Blackheads

Blackheads can be caused by hormonal changes increasing oil production, skin care and make up products.  Use natural skin care and make up products that aren’t heavy, strong, oily or greasy.  Use a gentle water soluble acne cleanser, NOT bar soap; it can clog and dry your skin.  Here are some other suggestions on how to get rid of blackheads:

  • Cleanse your skin with a gentle water soluable cleanser
  • Exfoliate daily to get rid of dead skin cells.  Many say 1–2% BHA or salicylic acid is a good exfoliator, or alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), but they don’t penetrate the pore’s lining.
  • Take a hot shower, use hot compresses or steam your skin to soften the blackheads.
  • You can use a blackhead extraction tool, mask, pore strips or vacuum ‘gun’, or see your Dermatologist.  I wouldn’t suggest any of these, especially pore strips because they’re painful, can remove some skin, and you’re not suppose to use them on irritated or dry skin or anywhere except getting rid of blackheads on your nose.  A vacuum gun can do some of the same things.

You can learn how to get rid of blackheads with these tools, but I would suggest my links to reduce or eliminate them naturally and permanently without causing pain, possible scarring and damage.  Now I’ll review some home remedies for blackheads.

Home Remedies for Blackheads

home remedies for blackheads

Some home remedies for blackheads include the above cleansing, exfoliating and steaming, as well as:

  • Lemon for blackheads:  Rub 1/4 slice on the blackheads and acne. It also reduces and treats acne scarring, and the acid lighten scars and acts like an astringent to loosen and dissolve it.  You may break out a little more initially, but 9 out of 10 people have had much less acne, and haven’t broken out since they used lemon for blackheads and .
  • 1/4 cup hot water, 1t epsom salt, 4 drops iodine.  Mix well and cool. Apply with a cotton ball.  When dry, gently remove with a clean cloth
  • Make a facial wash with fresh lime juice and glass of boiled milk
  • Use a green tea facial scrub
  • Potatoes are good home remedies for blackheads and acne removal
  • Warm honey, rinse after 10–15 minutes
  • Salt, honey and lemon make a good home facial scrub for blackheads.  Yogurt can also be used.  Gently scrub your face for a few minutes, rinse and pat dry
  • Egg white is a good home remedy for blackheads.  Beat it and apply.  Rinse after a bit and scrub lightly while drying
  • Before going to bed:  Mix 3T honey and 1t cinnamon powder and apply.  Rinse with warm water the next morning.  You can do this for 2 weeks.
  • 1t lemon juice and 1t cinnamon powder

Any of these are good home remedies for blackheads.

Getting rid of blackheads can be a pain literally, but it doesn’t have to be difficult.  If you know how to get rid of blackheads you’re ahead of the game, and these home remedies for blackheads should also help get you on the right track.

Back Acne Treatment: Cure Back Acne Tips for a Back Acne Scar Treatment

Treatment

back acne scar treatment

The are clogged pores in your skin created by too much sebum oil built up in the glands.  Although there are differences with back acne this works the same for all acne.  I’m going to briefly review what you can do as a back treatment to .

Your back is made of tougher skin with thousands of sebaceous glands that produce alot of oil. Since the sebaceous glands on the back are larger than on your face or other parts of the body, they produce more oil.  This means that they can also produce more acne scars more frequently.  The skin on your back is much thicker than the skin on your face and other body parts, so it can be harder to treat.

Back acne is also referred to as “”.  But there is another form of acne caused by irritation of the skin from materials constantly rubbing against it.  This is very common with back acne, and it’s called “acne mechanica”.  If you wear tight clothes, carry backpacks, press anything against the back or when laying down such as lifting weights on a weight bench, etc., this will aggravate back acne.  It makes it worse if you’re sweaty, because moisture increases it.  Your back’s always in contact with your clothes, bed, chairs and the seat in your vehicle, but there are some things you can do to imrove your back acne scar treatment:

  • Wear clean, light and loose breathable clothing like cotton
  • Shower right after you’ve had a heavy workout or excessive sweating from activity
  • You can use a long handled loofah pad and anti-bacterial cleanser, and make gentle circular motions on all of the problem areas.  Rinse and gently pat the acne prone areas dry so you don’t irritate it even more.  This will also help exfoliate your skin by removing dead skin cells and speed up the healing process.  If you use a scrub, use a sugar-based scrub because it’s not as harsh.
  • Drink a lot of water, as water removes the toxins caused by the bacteria from your body, reducing acne and acne breakouts, as well.
  • Eat a healthy balanced diet, because the nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants in the ‘good’ foods make a big difference in your skin as well as your overall health.

Cure Back Acne

If you do the things above, this will cut down on the buildup of moisture, sweat, dirt and bacteria on your back.  Try to keep your clothes dry and your bedding clean and soft.  You can also try hypoallergenic laundry soaps and softeners, as these may irritate your skin.  Try one treatment for a few weeks before trying another unless it’s irritating to your skin.

There are sprays and acne supplements available to help cure back acne, and a dermatologist can make recommendations, but for an all natural that works and is inexpensive, I suggest you try by Chris Gibson.  It’s a totally natural way you can treat all kinds of acne from the inside out, which is where the problem begins, and you can access it right away.  It comes with a Risk Free 100% Money Back Guarantee so you can return it, but it’s helped most everyone that’s tried it.  Just click on the book above.

Acne Back Treatment: Acne Back Treat and Cure and Home Remedies Acne Treatment

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

acne back treat

To find the best acne back treatment you first need to know what (“”) or acne anywhere on your body is caused some of the same things although there are some differences with back acne.  It all starts on the inside of your body.  Built up toxins cause acne, including environmental like smoke and pollution.  There are some other things that may apply to back acne, but can also affect all areas of the body.

According to the Acne Resource Center, these things can cause other types of acne, but it hasn’t been shown that they :

  • Heredity and genetics other than sever cases of back acne
  • Diet.  I has not been shown that a diet of fried foods, fats and oils make back acne worse
  • Excessive sweating, oil production or dirt does not seem to affect back acne
  • Stress doesn’show the same effect for back acne, but this may be because a lot of times we’ll pick at acne on our face or other places we can reach, but not our back

They do say that some back acne happens around puberty when the sebaceous glands start functioning.  When they produce too much sebum, the pores and hair follicles can get clogged, attracting bacteria and leading to acne.

Some other things that may cause or aggravate back acne are:

  • Body wash, Shampoo and Conditioner.  Although these help clean your body and back, residue from these products can also cause back acne if they’re not completely rinsed off.  Rinse your back last thoroughly, as the skin on your back is thicker than other body parts

and

acne back treat

For an , there’s a home remedies acne treatment to help prevent or .  Some examples are:

  1. WATER.  This is the most important, because it flushes all of the toxins from your body.  Drink 8–10 large glasses of water daily and you’ll notice a difference.
  2. Vitamins.  I have more articles about this on my blog.
  3. For mild back acne, clean your back with an anti-bacterial facial cleanser and let it dry.  Don’t use soap.
  4. Follow this with a 10% benzoyl peroxide cream or gel.
  5. Optional:  Some suggest that using the benzoyl peroxide in conjunction with an alpha hydroxy treatment is works best. You can find some of the best inexpensive gels and cleansers at Drugstore.com.
  6. You can also use aloe vera, chopped garlic or pulp from fruit, as they all have acne healing properties, and fruit has a natural form of salicylic acid.

Exfoliating is always good, particularly for your back.  It gets rid of dead skin cells, and you can use a simple exfoliator weekly like a sugar scrub.

For severe cystic acne you should see a dermatologist.

acne free in three days

To get rid of back acne or any type of acne, you need to flush the toxins from your body.  This should be done every few months to maintain body and skin health.  The first product I would recommend is a totally natural body detoxification system called Acne Free in Three Days. It’s inexpensive, effective and healthy, and shows you how you can be .  It was developed Tom Venuto who went through this himself.  It’s very popular and has great results. You can see a visitor’s testimonial on it at my blog, and read more about it at my Acne Free in 3 Days Review page.

If this isn’t for you, there are a few others I would recommend at my blog.  I hope this acne back treatment article helps you.  Let me know how it works for you, or if you have any questions or comments.  I’ll be doing more articles on acne back treat and home remedies acne treatment, so stay tuned!

  • It warms up in 10 seconds as opposed to a minute for the Zeno acne treatment device
  • It takes just a two second pulse of heat to treat acne blemishes as opposed to two minutes for the Zeno.  They say 2 seconds in the morning and 2 seconds at night; it’s quick and easy, not messy, and heals blemishes fast
  • It treats acne above and below the skin’s surface to prevent future breakouts, so if you feel a pimple’s developing you can zap it before it appears.  93% of ThermaClear users say it prevents pimples from appearing before they surface.  And from what I’ve read, Zeno only treats it once the zit appears
  • It’s suppose to be the as well as a great , and for all ethnic skin types including acne treatment for black skin and sensitive skin.  It helps reduce hyper-pigmentation or discoloring, and won’t discolor your skin.  You can apparently use it anywhere on your body
  • It’s suppose to work for mild to moderate acne including inflammatory acne vulgaris (pimples, blemishes, breakouts, zits).  It’s suppose to reduce sebum production and suppress the inflammatory processes
  • There are two levels of heat, high and low, and it’s cordless
  • It costs less than the Zeno acne device, and you don’t have to keep buying other acne treatment products
  • They say the tip requires replacement just once a year as opposed to Zeno, and some have said it lasted more than that, or they hadn’t replaced it yet.  The replacement’s also cheaper than Zeno’s
  • It’s FDA approved for safety and effectiveness, and clinically proven through scientific studies.  4 out of 5 dermatologists would recommend it
  • People who use it swear by it.  It has high customer and user ratings overall, and is a top seller
  • It has a 30 day Money Back Guarantee, and right now they’re offering free shipping

ThermaClear Acne Clearing Devices Cons

device for acne

  • ThermaClear’s not cheap, although it’s less expensive than Zeno.  It costs $149.99, so you have to decide whether you want to pay that amount.  However, depending on what you’ve spent on other acne treatment products, you might come out ahead, and with ThermaClear’s money back guarantee and current free shipping offer, that helps.
  • Some say that the “zap” of heat can sting, but that’s apparently on the high level.  I’ve heard mixed reports, and they say it lessens each time and they know it’s working.  I’m sure it also depends on your skin’s sensitivity and if you have a very low pain tolerance.
  • It’s not recommended for severe acne vulgaris, which includes large hard, painful bumps called “nodules” and large painful pus-filled cysts.  These can be difficult to treat.  It hasn’t been tested for non-inflammatory acne (comedones: whiteheads and blackheads).  However, many mistake inflammatory acne (postules, papules or swollen raised bumps) for whiteheads.
  • It shouldn’t be used for other types of acne that include acne rosacea and other types listed on their site, which I’ve provided a link for below .  These types of acne need  professional advice, diagnosis and treatment by a dermatologist.

In doing my research on the ThermaClear Acne Device, it seems fairly apparent that it beats its competitor by quite a margin, and in the long run would be less expensive than continuing to spend money on other acne treatment products unless you need additional .  So, in looking at all of the acne products reviews, and in particular acne clearing devices, I have to say that ThermaClear works the best to eliminate acne and the underlying causes of acne breakouts.

Best Treatment for Adult Acne: Cause of Adult Acne, Acne Adult Care and Adult Acne Products

best treatment for adult acne

They say adult acne affects 1/4 of adult men and 1/2 of adult women at some point during their adult lives.  One third of adults affected with facial acne also have body acne. Adults can develop acne breakouts or have acne recurrence in their 20s to their 40s and beyond that.  I’m going to review the best treatment for adult acne, causes of adult acne, adult acne care and in this article.

Dermatologists have seen more adult acne in the last decade than prior decades.  There was an article in 2004 in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science that stated, “Recent epidemiological studies show that there appears to be an increase in post-adolescent acne, and that the disease is lasting longer and is requiring treatment well into the mid forties.”  Regardles of when a person struggles with acne it can be difficult, and cause anxiety and depression in an adult just the same as it does in a teen.

Although the cause of adult acne is unknown, I feel it’s very similar to teenage acne breakouts, because some can include hormonal changes such as menstruation, pregnancy, menopause, etc.  Heavy or oily makeup can increase acne breakouts, as well as strong, abrasive cleansers, stress and environment (pollution, smoke and bacteria).  A diet including oily, fatty and acidic foods can aggravate acne, as well as vitamins, mineral supplements, medicine and steroids if over-used.

and Adult Acne Products

The best acne adult care can include a .  There are different types of acne, so treatment depends on what type of acne you have.  If you don’t know what type of acne you have, you may want to see your dermatologist so you get the right treatment.  Make sure you use oil-free, non-comedogenic sunscreens and lotions.  Usually, the simplest and most basic, the better.  Use something simple to wash your face with, including a low-strength benzoyl peroxide.

There are a lot of adult acne products available today, but I believe natural acne treatment is the best; the more chemicals you avoid the better.  You also want to make sure you get a complete skin care management system to treat all aspects of your acne.  It needs to be  a quality product that’s highly recommended and backed by great results, from a reputable company that guarantees satisfaction or your money back.  For more information on the #1 natural acne treatment system that works from the inside out, see the best treatment for adult acne.
