My apologies, everyone.  The company that makes TheremaClear is going through some financial difficulty, and it’s apparently not currently available due to this.  That’s a shame with  its great results and quality.  But, I’m hoping they will be able to resolve their financial difficulties so they can continue to provide this product to the public.   My apologies again for the inconvenience.

The only other acne clearing device that I would recommend is the Zeno acne treatment device.  Please feel free to read more about it here:  Zeno Acne Clearing Device.  You can get the best price at this link.  The Zeno acne clearing device does take longer to warm up and apply, but you don’t get a “zap”, it’s suppose to be warm and soothing, and you can choose from the Mini at $89, Basic at $159, and Pro at $199.  Let me know what you think if you have one or buy one.  Thank you.

ThermaClear Review: Review of the ThermaClear Heat Enabled Acne Treatment Device

thermaclear reviews

The ThermaClear Heat Enabled Acne Treatment Device by Sephora is the latest in thermal acne treatment as seen on tv ads and shows like The Doctors, The Tyra Banks Show and others.  According to Sephora, it sends a two second pulse of heat into your skin to neutralize acne causing bacteria above and below the skin surface.  It’s suppose to remove current acne blemishes and stop future acne from surfacing.  I’m going to provide an unbiased ThermaClear Review, pros and cons, Thermaclear customer reviews and ratings, buyers’ testimonials and ThermaClear video testimonials through Sephora, a physician and health and beauty consultant.  You’ll also see some ThermaClear before and after photos provided by them, and a ThermaClear vs Zeno comparison so you can make a more informed decision about whether you’d like to try it.

This heat enabled acne treatment device has been featured in “Elle”, “Time”, “Good Housekeeping”, “Redbook” and other top magazines.  It’s said that it neutralizes the acne causing bacteria, and triggers an acne fighting response in your body so blemishes heal faster.  They say it can work in as little as 24 hours although I’m sure that varies individual to individual.  It’s suppose to help heal your acne up to four times faster.

ThermaClear Acne Clearing Device Reviews

According to the company, the ThermaClear Acne Clearing Device uses heat to treat and remove acne, like suggested warm compresses, etc.  They say the heat kills and neutralizes the bacteria which is responsible for the causes of acne breakouts, and triggers the body’s acne fighting response so acne blemishes heal faster.  They say that you may see a difference overnight, or it may take a few days.  I’ve reviewed all information possible on this acne treatment device and ThermaClear Acne Clearing Device reviews, and am going to set out the pros and cons so you can make a better informed decision whether it may work for you.  This will include some comparisons between ThermaClear vs Zeno acne treatment device.

ThermaClear Heat Enabled Treatment Device Pros

where to buy thermaclear

The ThermaClear Heat Enabled Treatment Device pros or benefits according to the company are listed below:

  • WARM-UP TIME:  It warms up in 10 seconds as opposed to a one to two minutes for the Zeno acne treatment device
  • APPLICATION TIME:  It takes two seconds one to two times a day to treat acne blemishes as opposed to 30 seconds or more for the Zeno acne home scar treatment.  You can use it in the morning and at night for each blemish
  • TREATMENT:  It treats acne above and below the skin to help prevent future breakouts and keep pimples from surfacing.  If you feel a zit’s developing, you can zap it before it appears on your face or body part.  93% of the ThermaClear users say it prevents pimples from appearing before they surface.  From what I’ve read, Zeno only treats it once the pimple appears
  • EASE, HEALING AND CLEANING:  It’s quick and easy, and heals acne blemishes up to 4 times faster.  It’s not messy, and it’s easy to clean the tip with a cotton ball and isopropyl alcohol
  • USE ANYWHERE FOR ANYONE:  It’s not limited by where the acne is on your body, whether you’re an adult or teenager, what ethnic skin type you are, or if you have sensitive skin.  You can use it wherever you have acne and if you have sensitive skin.  Since it’s an electronic acne treatment device you’ll have no adverse or allergic reaction other than the “zap” of heat when you use it
  • REDUCES PIGMENTATION/DISCOLORATION:  It apparently helps reduce skin pigmentation discoloring and hyper-pigmentation, and it won’t discolor your skin other than a possible temporary red mark from the heat following treatment
  • ACNE TYPES AND INFLAMMATION REDUCTION:  It’s suppose to work for mild to moderate acne including inflammatory acne vulgaris (blemishes, pimples, zits and breakouts).  It’s also suppose to reduce production of sebum, which is the oil that produces pimples, and suppress the inflammation processes
  • CLINICALLY PROVEN AND FDA APPROVED:  It’s FDA approved for Effectiveness and Safety, and Clinically Proven through scientific studies, which are big pluses
  • DERMATOLOGIST RECOMMENDED:  4 out of 5 Dermatologists would recommend it to their patients, which is impressive
  • TWO HEAT LEVELS AND CORDLESS:  It has high and low heat, and it’s cordless so it won’t limit you
  • COST:  It costs less than the Zeno acne treatment device and you don’t have to keep buying other over the counter acne treatment products like creams, etc. depending on the type of acne you have.  Right now you can Get $50 Off, which makes it more affordable for everyone
  • TIP REPLACEMENT:  You apparently only have to replace the tip once a year as opposed to the Zeno, although users say they’ve had it longer than that and/or they haven’t replaced it yet and it’s been fine. The replacement tip is also cheaper than Zeno’s
  • CUSTOMER RATINGS:  ThermaClear users swear by it, which is always a good indicator.  It has high overall user ratings and customer ratings, and is a top seller
  • QUALITY, INFORMATIVE WEBSITE:  Sephora, the manufacturer of the ThermaClear acne device has a lot of information on their site, moreso than I’ve seen on many others.  It answers a lot of questions you may have including recommendations, reviews, use, types of acne it treats or may not treat, a skin analysis program, etc.
  • MONEY BACK GUARANTEE AND FREE SHIPPING:  They have a 30 day Money Back Guarantee, and right now they’re also offering Free Shipping, so it’s the best deal you’ll get right now

Cons

From everything I’ve seen on this device, there aren’t a lot of negatives, including reviews, ratings and consumer product ratings.  But I’ll list everything that I found that could be perceived as a negative:

thermaclear heat enabled treatment device

  • PRICE:  ThermaClear’s not cheap although it is less expensive than the Zeno acne treatment device.  It normally retails for $149.99, but fortunately right now you can get $50.00 off and free shipping for a limited time, so if you want to try it you should try it now before the price goes back up
  • ThermaClear’s replacement tips are also less expensive than the Zeno acne device.  And depending on what you’ve been spending on other acne products, creams, etc., it may be more beneficial to get the ThermaClear Acne Device instead of paying over and over again for other products
  • Since ThermaClear has a money back guarantee and current free shipping offer, that helps, because you won’t lose anything if you don’t like it or don’t feel it works like you think it should
  • THEZAP:  Some ThermaClear users say that the heat zap on your skin can sting, but that seems to be more of an issue for some on the high level, and others it doesn’t bother, or they don’t mind because of the results.  I’ve heard mixed reports, and it apparently lessens each time, and they know it’s working.  I’m sure it also depends on how pain sensitive you are, or if your skin’s sensitive.  It may leave a temporary red mark on your skin from the heat depending on what heat level you have it on
  • TYPES OF ACNE:  It’s not recommended for severe acne vulgaris which includes hard, large painful bumps called “nodules”, and painful large pus-filled cysts or severe cystic acne.  These types of acne can be hard to treat.  ThermaClear hasn’t been tested for non-inflammatory acne which is whiteheads and blackheads, however some users have said it helps them with those, as well.  I don’t believe Sephora wants to state unequivocally that it will successfully treat them, which is better than saying it will treat all types of acne even if it may not.  Many people also mistake inflammatory acne which is swollen raised bumps, postules and papules for whiteheads.  (If you don’t know what type of acne you have, their site has information on this, as well so you can determine your skin type)
  • The company says that the ThermaClear acne home scar treatment shouldn’t be used for other types of acne like acne rosacea and others listed on their site.  You should get professional advice and treatment from a Dermatologist for these types of acne
  • DON’T USE IT ON:  Skin lesions like moles, warts or ingrown hairs; or on irritated skin or open sores, and it’s not for use on skin that’s sensitive to the sun, heat or chemicals since it utilizes a heated pulse to treat pimples
  • MOISTURIZE:  Some users say it will dry their skin due to the heat, so I would recommend using a moisturizer if that’s the case

These are the only negative things I found for ThermaClear, which is uncommon.  You can usually find more negative feedback on a product, which I think is encouraging and says a lot for this acne removal treatment device.

THERMACLEAR ACNE DEVICE CUSTOMER RATINGS

acne products reviewsThe ThermaClear Heat Enabled Device averages 4 out of 5 stars overall by customers, which is very good.  I’ll include a few excerpts from various sites, good and bad for your information.

5.0 out of 5 stars P. Nakonechny “Pimple Free”
“I’ve had this product for a few months and have used it repeatedly. It uses a split second of high heat to get rid of the pimple before it gets a chance to erupt, so like another user wrote, it’s best to get them when they first start. The little “zap” you get from it is alarming at first but you get used to it after the first or second time. When I see a blemish, I give it a couple of zaps a day and I’ve either had the pimple completely go away or erupt much faster, hence speeding up the whole zit-red area-tell-tale spot on my face process.”

4.0 out of 5 stars “Quick”, April 12, 2009
By James Mcritchie  (Elk Grove, CA USA

“Way quicker than the competition and you’ll spend much less on tips. Seems to work just as well.”

3.0 out of 5 stars“So-So”
By Tree  (Pa)
“It actually will speed up the healing time if you catch the pimple early but otherwise I didnt notice that much of a difference for already existing pimples. It is also a little painful. Not too much that you cant take it but it is definatly jarring when you use it, especially in sensitive areas”

5.0 out of 5 stars “Will not leave home without it”
By J. Lee  (New Orleans, LA)
“Yes, it works. Thermaclear has been so far the best thing for my face since Proactive. After using Thermaclear for 3 days, I already notice a difference in my face. Pimples that normally last a week (even with proactive) were gone in 2 days. I used Thermaclear 2–3 times a day. I recommend using Thermaclear after you clean your face. Yes, Yes, Yes, it does sting, but after a day, you get used to it. I find myself feeling and touching my face in an attempt to find a pimple so I can zap it!Thermaclear may not work for everyone but it worked for me!”

3 of 5
(3 out of 5 ) “still trying it out” - 05.12.09
i bought the acne clearing device about a week and a half ago. I am still trying it out…but it seems to prevent the pimple from growing. I am still trying it out and am very hopeful that i will stay with this device”

Sephora has many more ThermaClear customer reviews and testimonials, information on the types of acne ThermaClear treats, skin analysis, etc.  They provide a lot of good information.
